As of 2024 we have increased the amount of our 4 year scholarships to $4,000/ yr for up to four years or $16,000 in total.  This is an increase of $1,000 a year.  Also, we have changed the Trade, Technical and Certificate Program scholarship award to a one-time payment equaling the recipient’s tuition expense up to maximum of $5000.

One of these awards is called the Donald M. Buebendorf, MD Scholarship, named after a former Rotarian. The second scholarship is funded by and administered by the Rotary Club of Essex.

Scholarship recipients are required to visit the Rotary Club of Essex each year during the awards to provide the club with an update regarding their studies. Scholarship recipients are also encouraged to become involved in providing service to others.
