Celebrating Excellence in Rotary Leadership

Stephanie Phillips, the Governor of Rotary District 7980, proudly presented Dr. Timothy Tobin with the Rotary International 2025–2026 Club President Award. This distinguished honor represents the highest recognition a Rotary club can achieve worldwide.

The award celebrates outstanding achievement in meeting the goals set forth by Rotary International’s President for the year, which are vital to Rotary’s mission of creating lasting change in communities locally and across the globe.

Dr. Tobin’s leadership, together with the dedication of the entire Rotary Club of Essex, reflects the club’s strong commitment to service above self. The recognition not only highlights the club’s recent accomplishments but also is inspiring for the impact on our community.

Rotary is dedicated to providing for the needs of our local community as well as national and international projects.

During the Covid-19 crisis, many residents had great difficulties. We made donations to the Essex Social Services Fund and Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantry to help with those in need of assistance and food.

We have also supported FISH, the Ivoryton Alliance and Essex Memorial Hall. Internationally, we have supported the Sister Cities Essex, Haiti installation of solar panels at the Deschapelles Community Library.
